Paradise Pools & Spas

Blog

My story starts about 22 years ago when I was 8 years old.  My family got our first pool and I quickly became infatuated with the pool and pool water chemistry.  My fascination with water chemistry continues to this day.

I have seen tons of water problems.  Everything from cloudy water to green pool water to even RED pool water.  I love nothing better than to take a pool and get it back to sparkling clear.

My favorite thing about working here is helping a customer fix their water problems.  When someone walks in and tells me that I was able to help them fix their pool when no one else was able to,  that is a great feeling and I take great pride in the fact that there is no water problem I cannot fix.

In this Industry it is imperative to stay up to date on the new technology in both pool equipment and pool and spa chemistry.  Which is why each and every year I attend multiple seminars and classes that deal with everything from Pool Automation, to Spa and Hot Tub Repair, to Advanced Water Chemistry.

In this blog I will explain the basics of water chemistry in a simple, easy to understand way and I will talk about different products that will help you keep your pool or spa trouble free so you will spend more time enjoying it rather than working on it.

If at any time you have any questions please feel free to come in and will be happy to help you with all your questions or issues you are having.

Spring Start up

To get your pool up and going for the season as easy and quick as possible,  it is imperative that you hit it hard and stay on top of it until it is ready to swim in.  One of the worst things you can do, and I see this often, is to drag it out.  People sometimes make the assumption that instead of say, putting in 6 pounds of the shock that I tell them,  they can just put 3 pounds in and save the rest for later.  After all,  3 now and 3 later will do the same as 6 all at once, Right?  WRONG!  The easiest, quickest and most economical way to get your pool up and going is to get on top of it and stay on top of it.  By doing it slowly you will always cost yourself more money and take longer to get your pool swimmable.  The easiest way to make sure you get your pool up and running properly is to bring me in a sample of your pool water.  I will put your water through several tests and tell you exactly what to treat your pool with and how much so you will have your pool ready to swim in, in no time.  If you are having problems getting your pool up and going this year, PLEASE bring me some of your water to test and I can get your pool cleared up and you will be swimming in no time!
